Redmi K50i 5G was launched in India on Wednesday. The new Redmi phone carries a 144Hz display, comes with a triple rear camera setup, and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC that is assisted by vapour cooling (VC) chamber for thermal management. Nulls Brawl In addition to the smartphone, Redmi launched the Redmi Buds 3 Lite true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones. They come with 6mm dynamic drivers tuned by Xiaomi Sound Lab, IP54 rating for dust and water resistance, and Bluetooth v5.2 for connectivity.
They also feature in-ear heart rate monitoring, and are priced at Rs 1,999.
The Redmi K50i 5G is priced at Rs 15,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The top-end variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs Rs 18,999. The Redmi K50i will be available in Black (with a Mirror Black finish) and Emerald Green colour options. It will be available for purchase from and Flipkart starting May 28 at 12pm IST. It will also be available on Mi Home stores from tomorrow onwards.

The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for durability and scratch resistance. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor clocked at 2.2GHz coupled with Adreno 616 GPU and 4GB/6GB RAM options. There is 64GB/128GB of internal storage which can be expanded further via microSD card (up to 400GB).
On the camera front, the Redmi K50i 5G comes with a 48-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 2µm pixel size, and Dual Pixel autofocus technology at its rear end along with a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 1µm pixel size, and 1x optical zoom lens for depth effect shots along with EIS support for videos and Live Photos mode as well as Portrait Mode in real time. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture that supports AI portrait mode for bokeh shots as well as AI Beautify 4.0 for enhanced face beautification along features like skin smoothening algorithm and multi-frame processing.
The Redmi K50i 5G runs on Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 out of the box and comes with a 4,000mAh battery with 19W fast charging support. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2×2 MIMO), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS, BeiDou, USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor and a magnetic field sensor for compass and orientation detection. It measures 157×76×7.25mm in dimensions and weighs 183 grams.

The Xiaomi Redmi K50i 5G is priced at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs 17,000) for the base variant with 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage while the top-end model powered by 6GB RAM/ 128GB storage is priced at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs 19,100). It will be available in Black color option only and will go on sale starting from January 18th at 12:00PM via Mi Mall Online Store as well as Mi Home stores across China.
